Lampasas man seriously injured in accident
      A Lampasas man sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle accident about two miles east of Lampasas on Wednesday morning. William Raley, driving a 1993 Ford Festiva, was traveling east on U.S. Highway 190 about 9:55 a.m.

Judge gives 10 years' probation in DWI case
      Anthony Richard Evans, 48, was given 10 years' probation and a $1,500 fine for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition in recent 27th District Court action. Judge Joe Carroll also ordered Evans to pay court costs and to attend a substance abuse program.

Law Enforcement Report
      The following arrests were reported by law enforcement officials. Dec. 6 -- Eddie McCann, 42, of Sweetwater for driving while intoxicated and no liability insurance. He was released from the Lampasas County Jail on Sunday.

Lampasas woman dies in two-vehicle accident
      A Lampasas woman was killed in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday at 6:22 a.m. in Williamson County. A report prepared by Department of Public Safety Trooper Glen Lester of Georgetown stated that Kristi Leeann Bender, 28, of Lampasas was driving a 1997 Geo eastbound on RR 2338 near County Road 245 in Williamson County.

Mobile home fire caused by electrical wiring short
      Lampasas County Fire Marshal Gene Harrison has determined that a mobile home fire that killed Lampasas County resident Lonnie Foster and injured his father, Elmer Foster, was started by a short in electrical wiring. Elmer Foster was transported by helicopter to Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio for treatment for second- and third-degree burns.

Lampasas County eligible to apply for disaster loans
      Small, non-farm businesses in 18 Texas counties may now apply for low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration. These disaster loans offset economic losses because of reduced revenues caused by adverse weather conditions in four primary Texas counties.
