LHS theater arts program to offer dinner, program
      Lometa High School's theater arts program will offer dinner and a show, "A Redneck Christmas," for its fall production on Saturday at the school. A chicken alfredo dinner will be served at 6 p.m., followed by the performance at 7 p.m.

Church sets Christmas presentation
      Church of the Hills, U.S. Highway 183 North just south of Lometa, will offer a panoramic 360-degree presentation of "The Gift," on Dec. 20 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 21 at 4 p.m. "Come step into Bethlehem and experience the Christmas story in amazing 360 detail," said a church spokesman.

Boys, girls defeat Gustine in first district contest
      Lometa could not ask for a better start to district play. The Hornets and Lady Hornets both left Gustine with wins on Tuesday, as the girls posted a fivepoint victory and the boys won by double digits. Paced by a pair of post players, the Lady Hornets opened up a 10-point lead in the third quarter.
