A memorial service will be held at a later date for James Arthur "Jim" Abrams, 80, of Lampasas.

The body will be cremated.

Mr. Abrams died Dec. 9, 2008, at Rollins Brook Community Hospital.

He was born Nov. 4, 1928, in Seymour, Ill., to Homer McKinley and Mellie Dillman Abrams.

Mr. Abrams married Marcella May Gillespey on April 14, 1945, in Geneva, N.Y., and she preceded him in death.

He owned his own appliance repair business in Lampasas for many years. He was a member of Jehovah's Witness in Lampasas.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.
