Mina Patterson Funeral services for Mina D. Patterson, 88, of Lampasas were Nov. 30, 2008, at Sneed Funeral Chapel with Minister Lon Jones officiating. Burial was at Hurst Ranch Cemetery near Star.
Mrs. Patterson died Nov. 26 at Lampasas Nursing & Rehab.
She was born March 19, 1920, in Star, the daughter of William James and Demis Elizabeth Wright Gent.
She married Doris Patterson on April 28, 1939, in Blanco.
Mrs. Patterson lived in the Lampasas County area most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of First Street Church of Christ in Lampasas.
Survivors include a son, Ronald D. Patterson and wife, Venona, of Lampasas; two daughters, Melinda Kay Arden and husband, Donnie, of Lenoir City, Tenn., and Donna Porter of Lewisville; one sister, Ona Lee of Evant; seven grandchildren, Tolbert S. Patterson, Carter D. Patterson, William C. Arden, Cody R. Arden, Jason L. Porter, Jeremy L. Porter and Jina L. Porter; and three great-grandchildren, Amber Rewis, Madison Arden and Luke Patterson.
She was preceded in death by her husband; by three brothers, Audra Gent, Nathan Gent and Cecil Gent; by three sisters, Oleta Hogan, Ora Roe and Melba Godwin; and by a son-in-law, Ronnie Porter.
The family requested memorials be made to Cherokee Children's Home of the Alzheimer's Association.
