A day of fairy tales
Kline Whitis Elementary School faculty and students held the annual Fairy Tale Day. Youngsters (and adults) dressed up in costumes of their favorite characters. There were games, arts and crafts projects and special treats to eat. See related photos, pages 2A and 6A. More...
City Council OKs zoning changes

The Lampasas City Council at its recent meeting unanimously approved a zoning change for 9 acres to be annexed into the city limits and developed into Diamond Ridge Phase II. The land, west of Sheppard Lane and north of Diamond Ridge Phase I, is zoned agricultural. It will be rezoned as a Single Family Residential 10 District and a Single Family-Patio Home District. Carol of Lights set this weekend

On Friday, Lampasans will kick off the holiday season with the annual Carol of Lights festival, which will feature Santa Claus, dancing, music and carolers at Courtyard Square and other venues in the downtown area. Carols on the bandstand and a ceremony of lights also will be offered. More...
