Judge grants probation in non-support case
In recent 27th District Court action, Judge Joe Carroll granted shock probation to Alonzo Moses Botello, 40, of Lampasas for criminal non-support. He sentenced Botello to three years' probation and ordered him to pay $10,700 in restitution and a $750 fine.
For possession of a controlled substance, 28-year-old Michelle Christina Assman was given five years' probation and ordered to attend a substance abuse inpatient treatment program.
Also, Stacey Jan Temple, 43, of Granite Shoals was given two years' deferred adjudication probation and a $1,000 fine for criminal conspiracy.
Nicholas Darrell Harvin, 28, had his bond lowered to $1,500 after a hearing on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine.
Clarence Ray Biddy, 55, of Lampasas is set for a Dec. 5 plea hearing for possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.
Pretrial hearings are scheduled Dec. 5 for Paul Thomas Hughes, 40, on a charge of criminal nonsupport, and Kelley Inman Bartek, 36, of Salado for driving while intoxicated with a child passenger.
Omar Ramos, 49, of San Saba is set for a Dec. 5 arraignment on his charge of possession of a controlled substance.
A Dec. 8 jury trial is on the docket for Gilbert Chris Martinez. The 44-year-old Lometa resident is charged with sexual assault of a child under 17.
Also set for Dec. 8 jury trials are Schcobi Laron Grimes, 33, for possession of a controlled substance, cocaine; and Jonathan Hurt, 23, of Ballinger for forgery.
A Dec. 19 arraignment is slated for Michael Joseph Schoolcraft, 46, of Kempner for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition.
New Braunfels resident Lacey Nichole Lewis, 22, is set for a Dec. 19 adjudication review hearing for possession of a controlled substance.
Edward Allen Cain Jr., 42, of Lampasas is set to enter a plea on Dec. 19 for aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.
Dec. 19 pretrial hearings are slated for Christopher John Young, 30, of Copperas Cove for delivery of a controlled substance, cocaine; and Jesse G. Cruz, 37, of Lometa for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
Punishment hearings are scheduled Jan. 9 for Jason Dwayne Lamb, 35, of Kempner for hindering a secured creditor, and Bruce Anthony Cardenas, 20, of Copperas Cove for assault on a public servant.
Plea hearings are on tap Jan. 9 for Audi Elizabeth Henry, 29, for evading arrest with a vehicle, and Joshua Dee Daniels, 27, for burglary of a habitation.
Jan. 9 pretrials are set for Gregory Scott Walker, 45, of Lampasas for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and Tyrone Verond Patterson, 29, of Killeen for evading arrest with a vehicle.
Arraignments are on the Jan. 9 docket for Jeremy Wayne Hutton, 22, of Copperas Cove on a charge of evading arrest with a vehicle, and for Benjamin Kyle Jones, 26, of Lampasas for driving while intoxicated and felony repetition.
On a charge of driving while intoxicated with a child passenger, Lorrie Ann Westberry, 39, of Lampasas is expected to enter a plea and receive punishment Jan. 23.
