Ben and Sammie Leggett will be honored with a reception for their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday from 2-5 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Lometa.

The Leggetts were married in 1958 while they were both Baylor students.

The family lived in Houston for many years and retired to Lometa, renovating the Long Cove Baptist Church into their ranch home.

Their daughter, Lynn Leggett Kirchner, lives in Belton, and a son, Luhrel Leggett, lives in Waco.

The couple have four grandsons, Luke Leggett and Wesley Leggett, both of Waco, Eric Kirchner of Kansas City, Mo., and William Kirchner of Houston.

Family and friends are nvited to help the Leggetts celebrate.
