Barbara Ann Gandy, 73, of Lampasas died Nov. 24, 2008, at her residence.

Funeral services are Nov. 29 at 10 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas with the Rev. Kevin Veazey officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.

Visitation is Nov. 28 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral chapel.

Mrs. Gandy was born Oct. 23, 1935, in Boston, Mass., the daughter of Fred LeBrun Sr. and Laura Fournier LeBrun.

She was married to Cledus Frederick Gandy.

Mrs. Gandy was the manager of Pioneer Oil Co. and also managed an ice cream shop in Lampasas. She also had worked for Girling Health Care.

Mrs. Gandy was a Catholic. She had lived in Lampasas since 1975.

Survivors include two sons, Steve Gandy and Lonnie Gandy, both of Lampasas; two daughters, Teresa Christoph of Lampasas and Sherry Prosise of Hobbs, N.M.; one brother, Eddie LeBrun of New Hampshire; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; by a brother, Fred "Mum" LeBrun; and by two sisters, Rita and Eileen.

The family requested memorials be made to Lampasas Mission.
