Registration for the spring soccer season will be held during the last week of January with practice beginning in February.

The regular season schedule begins in March and extends through May.

RUNNING

Over 25,000 runners, including seven Lampasas residents, braved the frigid early morning temperatures on Sunday, flooding the streets of downtown San Antonio for the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon & 1/2 Marathon.

Competing in the 13.1-mile half marathon run, Jamie Jones and Kelly Adams crossed the finish line simultaneously with times of 2:57:55. Separated by a single second, Mary Raring-Hart (3:45:54) and Louise Hart (3:45:55) also completed the course.

Stacy Martin led the local marathon runners with a time of 4:26:54. Tina Loeffler (4:54:05) and Amy Vann (4:58:43) both finished the 26.2-mile course in under five hours.

More than 55 regional bands participated in the event.
