Mrs. Berry

Funeral services for Mellie E. Berry, 81, of Lampasas were Nov. 19, 2008, at Briggs-Gamel-Wilcox Funeral Home in Lampasas with the Rev. Rick Willis officiating. A private burial service followed at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Berry died Nov. 15 in an area nursing home.

She was born Dec. 21, 1926, in Jackson County, Fla., to William Albert and Willie Mae Morris Enfinger.

She married Edgar M. Berry on April 20, 1972.

Mrs. Berry was a CPA for Hilltop Lakes EMS. She also was a real estate broker and an investor and property owner. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

She enjoyed doll-making, quilting and sewing.

Survivors include her husband; a son and his wife, Don and Elaine Parker of Pearland; two daughters and their husbands, Mildred and Mark Hollister of Humble and Yvonne and Bob Childs of Lufkin; a stepson, Bill Berry; and two stepdaughters, Mikki Yelderman and Sheila Rivas.

She was preceded in death by a brother, James Albert Enfinger, and by a sister, Mary Lee Crooms.

The family requested memorials be made to Odyssey Health Care, 2010 S.W. H.K. Dodgen Loop, Suite 201, Temple, TX 76504.
