Mrs. Benton
Mrs. Benton died Nov. 14 following a short illness.
She was born June 3, 1924, in Lampasas, to Pinkney J. and Mamie Kiel Blackburn.
Mrs. Benton was a member of ASWA FW #59, and worked as a bookkeeper and senior accountant clerk.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, bowling, dominoes and writing poems.
Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Ted Benton; sons and their wives, Larry and Kay Benton, Garry and Mary Lou Benton and Curtis and Deyanna Benton; grandchildren, Phil Pollard, Karla Abrams and husband, Tim, Pam Lawson and husband, David, Lisa Collett and husband, David, Robert Benton and wife, Kristi, Patty McGinnis and husband, Justin, Roger Benton and wife, Denise, Cary Benton and wife, Dana, Jackye Benton and Brian Benton and wife, Amanda; 21 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marie Owens.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Edwin Mac Kelley and Perry F. Greene; by a daughter, Linda Pollard; a son-in-law, Mike Pollard; brothers, Ben, Harry and Woody Blackburn, as well as an infant brother; and sisters, Bell Casbeer and Ruby Brown.
The family requested memorials be made to the Lymphoma Society.
