I would like to thank Doyle J. Garrett for the trip down memory lane with his "Tribute to Key Avenue road warriors" in the Nov. 4 Dispatch Record.

Sometimes we have so much going on in our lives that we don't take the time to reflect on the past.

His letter really took me back to the "good ol' days" he spoke of. I know his story touched others the same way it did me. I remember just about every one of those moments, either because of being there personally or hearing about it through the grapevine, which didn't take long in those days, even without cell phones.

So thanks, D.J., for the tribute to all of us Key Avenue Road Warriors. Here's to the "good ol' days."
