The Lampasas Volunteer Fire Department is collecting money, new toys, new bikes and non-perishable food items for local needy families. Lampasas applicants may sign up no later than Dec. 1 at churches that have forms.

Firemen will hand out the items at the fire station on Dec. 13 from 8 a.m. to noon to those who have signed up.
