Annie E. Ottinger died Nov. 12, 2008, in Georgetown. She was 94.

Graveside services were Nov. 15 at Mahomet Cemetery near Briggs with the Rev. Max Copeland officiating.

Mrs. Ottinger was born July 20, 1914, in Rockport, the daughter of Jesse Walter and Fetna Dickerson Simmons.

She worked at Rollins Brook Community Hospital and a local nursing home in Lampasas as the evening cook for 26 years.

Survivors include children James Gurno of Fayetteville, N.C., Mary Gurno and Lynda Meuth, both of Round Rock, Harry Gurno of Briggs; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Ottinger, and by a son, Charlon Gurno.

The family requested memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Asso- ciation.
