Regina Rogers Funeral mass for Regina Rogers, 97, of Lampasas was Nov. 17, 2008, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Pedro Castillo officiating. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Rogers died Nov. 14 at her residence.
She was born Sept. 21, 1911, in Smiley, the daughter of Emilio and Anastasia Pena Mejia.
She was married to John P. Rogers.
Mrs. Rogers was a homemaker and had worked for Lampasas Steam Laundry. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where she was part of the Guadalupanas.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, John and Carmen Rogers of Lampasas and Rudy and Madilyn Rogers of Idaho; two daughters, Janie Monroe of Modesto, Calif., and Mary Wilson of Cupertino, Calif.; a brother and his wife, Joe and Juana Mejia of Goldthwaite; a sister, Flavia Barrera of Brownsville; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Joe D. Rogers and Thomas Rogers; by sisters, Maria, Luna and Nasaria; and a brother, David.
