The Lampasas FFA is preparing for the annual District FFA Leadership contest set Monday at Burnet High School.

Agriscience students have been practicing for a variety of leadership competitions that focus on skills development.

The Junior Chapter Conducting Team will demonstrate how to conduct a meeting using correct parliamentary procedure.

Team members are freshman FFA members Ashton Holloman, Colton Joanis, Hailey Morrison, Kalyn Hayes, Mackenzie Martin, Zakry Sparger, Josh Kuehne, Paige Hensley and Wade Wall.

The FFA Public Relations Team is made up of seniors Sara Jackson, Reese Vann, Kelsie Ray and Brandyl Brooks.

The FFA Radio Team competition entails facilitating a live radio broadcast. Members of the 2008 team are James Lansford, Brooke Buttler and Jessica Holt.

The senior FFA Quiz Team consists of Samantha Sparger, Nicole Sales, Jennifer Hilla and Shannon Lucas.

The Junior Quiz Team includes Mackenzie Martin, Cody Corbin and Colton Joanis.

The Junior FFA creed speaker is Jeyde Kelly, and Kelsie Ray will compete in the FFA job interview competition.

Teams that qualify for area competition will head to Blanco High School on Nov. 18.
