Funeral services for Charles Wilson Banta Jr., 64, of Burnet are Nov. 5, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas with Brother Fred Higham officiating. Burial will follow at Townsen Cemetery near Adamsville.

Visitation is Nov. 4 from 6-8 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Banta died Nov. 1 at his residence.

He was born Dec. 3, 1943, in Baytown, the son of Charles Wilson and Mildred Ridenbaugh Banta Sr.

In 1960, Mr. Banta was baptized into the Berean Christadelphian Church.

Mr. Banta was a supervisor for LCRA. He was married to Dottye Mason, and she preceded him in death in May 2008.

Survivors include daughters, Sarah Taylor of Burnet and Charlotte Banta of Georgetown; a sister, Micky Lucas of Palestine; three grandchildren, Ashley Taylor and Craig Kiley and wife, Lacy, all of Burnet, and Brian Kiley of Horseshoe Bay; and two great-grandchildren, Chrystina Bagley and Cayden Kiley.
