FOOTBALL The Boys and Girls Club of Senior Parents Appreciation Night will occur tonight at 6:50 p.m., prior to the varsity football game versus Killeen.

The ceremony will recognize the parents of seniors involved with football, band, flags, tunnel crew, drill team and cheerleaders.

Grace Fellowship Church will be hosting a "5th Quarter" on Friday, following the Badgers' final home game against Killeen.

The event is free, and there will be hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks provided.

The Young Life organization is sponsoring a drawing for a $100 Walmart gift card.

Grace Fellowship Church is located on U.S. Hwy. 281, next to the new high school's construction

site.

VOLUNTEERS

Lampasas is seeking volunteers to serve as board members on its advisory committee.

Members will be responsible for acquiring resources, and will approve and participate in fundraising plans.

Individuals interested in volunteering with the organization may contact Lampasas unit director Michael Blount at 564- 1669.

BASKETBALL

The Lampasas Basketball Club is now accepting registration forms for the 2008-09 season. Registration is open to boys and girls in the fifth and sixth grades only and limited to the first 48 in each division.

Forms are available at the Boys and Girls Club of Lampasas.

SOCCER

The Tri-City Express U-19 girls' soccer team earned a pair of wins over the weekend, defeating AUSC Lady Cards and the Exodus Pumas.

On Saturday, the Express notched a 3-2 victory behind a pair of goals from Kelsey Wilcox, including the gamewinner. Bree Lindemann kicked the other goal, the first of her career.

The Express followed up with a 4-1 defeat of Exodus on Sunday.

Wilcox scored two more goals in the contest while River Hooks found the back of the net in the 27th minute.

Jacky Lovejoy added an insurance goal in the 62nd minute when she knocked the ball away from the Pumas goalkeeper.

Sarah Pillow put together a solid game at stopper, according to coach Clay Harrington.
