With QB Murray listed as questionable, LHS turns to Millican as team tries to grab first win of season
      The hopes of posting a winning season are gone, but the Badgers still have one last thing to play for when they take the field tonight against Killeen: pride. Lampasas is facing the possibility of posting a second consecutive winless season if it cannot claim a victory tonight in Badger Stadium or next week against the Hippos in Hutto.

Despite late rally, Lady Badgers lose last game of season
      After falling down by two sets on the road to Killeen, the Lady Badgers played the third like it was going to be their last. For four seniors, it almost was. Lampasas dug deep and fought out of a late deficit to win the set 26-24 and extend its season temporarily before finally succumbing to the Lady Kangaroos 3-1.

Hunter safety course offered on Nov. 16
      Jamie Smart will offer a field course and final examination for hunter education certification on Nov. 16 from 2-5 p.m. at the Lampasas County Show Barn. Certification costs $15 and is available to all hunters ages nine and older.

      FOOTBALL The Boys and Girls Club of Senior Parents Appreciation Night will occur tonight at 6:50 p.m., prior to the varsity football game versus Killeen. The ceremony will recognize the parents of seniors involved with football, band, flags, tunnel crew, drill team and cheerleaders.

Youth hunt
      Norma Jean Pierce, 10, of Lampasas, harvested this spike buck Oct. 25 in northeastern Burnet County. She took down the spike near her home with a .243 rifle.
