Michael Rios Michael Rios, a Lampasas High School senior, was named second alternate to the Texas Music Educator's Association Region 8 all-Region Orchestra.

He auditioned for the orchestra on Oct. 25 at Temple High School.

Rios plays string bass in the LHS band and electric bass in the high school jazz band.

He is the son of Edwin and Angelo Rios.
