Mrs. Brubaker
Lois Brubaker Lois Marie Brubaker, 60, of Salado died Oct. 24, 2008, at her home.
A private memorial service was held in the home of Lampasas County Judge Wayne Boultinghouse.
Mrs. Brubaker was born March 16, 1948, in Abilene, to Arlie Quest and Myrtle B. Reynolds Whisenhunt.
She spent her early life in Abilene, where she graduated from Cooper High School and attended McMurry College.
Mrs. Brubaker worked in various capacities in Kimball's Grocery offices, Wholesale Foods and McLane Food Service, first in Abilene and then in Temple.
She later worked in the operations division of the Copperas Cove Independent School District, serving as secretary to the assistant superintendent for operations.
Most recently, Mrs. Brubaker was officer manager for Dr. H.S. "Sandy" Bailey of Lampasas.
Mrs. Brubaker enjoyed sewing quilts and Texas high school athletics.
Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Martin C. Brubaker; a son and his wife, Christopher and Shelly Graham of Copperas Cove; a daughter, Melanie Brooke Graham of Copperas Cove; two grandsons, Christopher Trey Graham and Caden Thomas Graham, both of Copperas Cove; her mother of Abilene; sisters, Patricia Ray of Abilene and Francis O'Brien of Des Moines, Iowa; a brother, Dewayne Whisenhunt of Houston; an aunt; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Arlie Whisenhunt; and a sister, Carol Sue Whisenhunt.
The family requested memorials be made to the Lois M. Brubaker Education Fund, First Texas Bank, P.O. Box 671, Lampasas, TX 76550 for the educational needs of her grandsons.
