Lometa play, steak dinner set Nov. 15
"Dearly Departed," a comedy by David Botrell and Jessie Jones, will be presented in the Lometa School auditorium Nov. 15 at 7 p.m.
Tickets for the play, to include a steak dinner to be served from 5:30-6:30 p.m., are on sale at Hodges & Sargent Pharmacy and Shooting Star Books and Gifts in Lampasas; Tico's Beauty Shop or Denim Angels in Lometa; or by calling Janie Potts at 752-3544 or Tico Hicks at 752-3383. Cost is $20 each.
The performance, staged by the Part-Time Players, is sponsored by the L-M Garden and Civic Club of Lometa and is a fundraiser for the local organization.
The club building, which was originally the Atherton School building, serves not only as a meeting place for the club but as a community center, as well. It also can be rented for reunions, private parties and other events.
Members recently added sidewalks and upgraded the handicap access, however the building has weathered and is in need of new siding and a front awning.
