Lampasas Art Club member Morgan Connery is the October Artist of the Month, and his work is on display in the foyer of My Girls in front of Lampasas Art Gallery. Retired from the U.S. Marine Corps, Connery relocated to Adamsville which provides an atmosphere conducive to creating western and wildlife works of art, he said. Connery utilizes natural materials, leather combined with selected pieces of bone, feathers and other items to design and decorate his home decor pieces. Connery also inscribes on various sizes and shapes of glassware. He also collects antique items and baskets which he decorates and fills with gift items. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
