Couple plan winter wedding

Banister-Groves Amber Dawn Banister and Robert Wayne Groves, both of Lubbock, plan to exchange wedding vows in a Dec. 20, 2008, ceremony in Lubbock.

Miss Banister is the daughter of Melvin and Tricia Banister of Carlsbad, N.M.

She received a bachelor's degree in communication from Arizona State University and an associate's degree in dental hygiene. She is employed by Dr. R. Johnson DDS of Lubbock.

Mr. Groves is the son of Robert and Darla Groves of Lampasas.

He earned a bachelor's degree in education from Lubbock Christian University and a master's degree in education. He is employed by the Lubbock Independent School District.
