The Chamber of Commerce's annual Lampasas County Historic Fire House Run Biker Rally is Saturday behind Country Inn, at the intersection of U.S. Highways 190, 281 and 183. All bikers are welcome.

A number of activities will be offered, including a motorcycle parade, historic firehouse tour of Lampasas County, fire safety education, a chili cookoff, horseshoe tournament, bike games, a people's choice bike show, vendors, a barbecue dinner and live bands.

A blessing of the bikes will be Sunday at 8 a.m.

Registration today is from 5-10 p.m. Fee is $25 per person, which includes all activities and a barbecue dinner. Registration also will open Saturday at 8 a.m.

Tickets to the barbecue only -- which is open to the public -- are $10 per person.

Free tent camping on site is available today and Saturday for any registered biker.

Vendor booths are 10x10-foot spaces at $40 each. Food booths are $60. Applications for booths are available at the chamber office.

Registration forms are also at the chamber office, 205 South U.S. 281, or they can be downloaded at www.lampasaschamber.org. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Lampasas County fire departments.

Rare Dog Band will take the stage at 2 p.m. Saturday. The group -- which combines years of playing experience at honky tonks, clubs and concerts -- will perform its country-, Spanish- and blues-influenced music.

A parade through town begins at 4 p.m., followed by games at 4:30 p.m. The bike show is set from 4- 5:30 p.m., and dinner will be served at 6 p.m., with awards to follow.

At 7 p.m. Redneck Jedi will take to the stage with its blend of classic and southern rock. They have opened for a number of southern rock bands, including Grand Funk Railroad, Molly Hatchet and Blackfoot.
