Early voting begins Monday for Nov. 4 General Election

Number of east Lampasas County residents eligible to vote for Copperas Cove propositions

Early voting by personal appearance runs Monday through Oct. 31 for the Nov. 4 General Election at the Elections Administrator's office, 412 S. Live Oak.

Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with 12-hour days (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.) on Tuesday and Oct. 30.

Voters may vote straight party -- Democratic, Republican or Libertarian -- or for individual candidates.

Following are candidates for election in each race in order of their ballot listing.

President/vice president: John McCain/Sarah Palin, Republican; Barack Obama/Joe Biden, Democrat; and Bob Barr/Wayne A. Root, Libertarian.

U.S. senator: John Cornyn, Republican; Richard J. (Rick) Noriega, Democrat; and Yvonne Adams Schick, Libertarian.

U.S. representative, District 11: Mike Conaway, Republican; and John R. Strohm, Libertarian.
