Ivey Davis Funeral services for Ivey Loenell Davis, 78, of Fairfield are Oct. 17, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas. Burial will follow at Smith Cemetery at Kempner.

Mrs. Davis died Oct. 15 at her daughter's residence.

She was born Feb. 19, 1930, in Lampasas County, the daughter of James Monroe and May Bell Lindsey.

She grew up in Lampasas and married John Henry Davis on Jan. 9, 1947. They lived in various places in Texas including Mart, Baytown, Coolidge and for the last five years in Fairfield.

Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include three sons, Gary Davis of Coolidge, John Davis of Ben Hur, and Jimmy Davis of Pittsburg, Texas; three daughters, Wanda Tompkins and Vicki McFerrin, both of Fairfield, and Inetta Von Minden of Mexia; three brothers, Vernon Lindsey of Bend, Kenneth Lindsey of Midlothian, and Albert Lindsey of Lampasas; six sisters, Lavern Browning and Margie Ray, both of Austin, Joyce Havins of Akron, Ohio, Doris Webb of Mentor, Ohio, Ann Green of Cedar Park, and JoAnn Jackson of Lampasas; 17 grandchildren; numerous greatgrandchildren; and one great-greatgrandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and by a daughter, Melba

Davis.
