FOOTBALL

Both of the Badgers' freshman teams suffered loses to Lake Travis last Thursday evening.

The White team lost 43-6, with the Badgers' only score coming late in the fourth quarter on a 65-yard Tanner Swinford run.

The Blue team fell behind early and never could recover, losing 23-14 on the road.

BASKETBALL

The Lampasas High School Slam Dunk Basketball Booster Club will meet on Oct. 21 at 6:30 p.m. in room 200 at LHS. The meeting is open to the public as they solicit new memberships.

The meeting will cover fundraiser events, plans for printing programs and ideas for selling ads to be included in the program. There will also be both old and new Badgers Tshirts on sale.

The LHS boys' season begins Nov. 18.

RUNNING

Tarleton State University's Recreational Sports Department is sponsoring a 5K race Saturday at 8 a.m.

The entry fee is $15 per person. Winners in each age division receive an intramural champion T-shirt, a Tarleton water bottle and a string backpack with the race's logo.

Those who register by today receive a free shirt.

HORSE RIDING

The Indian Hills Riding Club will hold its Halloween horse and rider costume contest on Oct. 25. Registration begins at 9 a.m. with the contest following at 10 a.m.

The club's final show will begin immediately after the contest. There is no fee for the contest, but members must pay $7 to participate in the show and non-members must pay $8.
