Badgers can't stop Gilbert's aerial assault
Lake Travis' Garrett Gilbert tosses for five touchdowns, dismantling Lampasas 57-0
      After traveling to Austin and seeing Lake Travis' Garrett Gilbert firsthand on Friday, those on the Badgers' sideline knew they had witnessed something special. The senior moved into fourth place for the most career touchdowns in Texas high school history and pulled within 189 yards of becoming just the fifth player to pass for more than 10,000 yards in his career.

Mental errors cost Lampasas match against Lady Kangaroos
      The Lady Badgers gave Killeen a fight Friday evening, but they could not overcome their own mistakes and fell in three sets. Coming out strong, Lampasas lost the first set by just five points at 25-20, before losing rhythm during the next two sets due to service errors and other mental letdowns.

      FOOTBALL Both of the Badgers' freshman teams suffered loses to Lake Travis last Thursday evening. The White team lost 43-6, with the Badgers' only score coming late in the fourth quarter on a 65-yard Tanner Swinford run. The Blue team fell behind early and never could recover, losing 23-14 on the road.

Cavaliers defeat JV Badgers
      After falling into an early 14- point hole against Lake Travis on Thursday, the Badgers junior varsity football team could not overcome the deficit and lost 42-12. The Cavaliers set the tone right off the bat, returning the opening kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown.

Badgers place third in home invitational
      Paced by three top-20 finishers, the Badger varsity boys' cross country team earned third place at the Lampasas Battlin' Badgers Invitational on Friday morning. Junior Brandon Willie completed the 5K course in 16:31, placing fifth overall, while David Bloomfield (17:18) and Jonathan Lohmann (17:31) took 17th and 20th place, respectively.
