Silver Haired legislators plan town meeting
A town hall meeting will be held at the Milano Civic Center on Oct. 30 at 5 p.m. to provide information regarding activities and top priority resolutions adopted by the 12th Texas Silver Haired Legislature held in September.
A total of 74 resolutions were adopted, but only 10 will be submitted to the Texas Legislature in January.
The four Texas Silver Haired legislators representing the Central Texas region are Ted Hubert of Milano; Emilie Campbell of Belton; Myron Meier of Gatesville; and James (Jim) Endicott Jr. of Harker Heights.
These members represent the elderly residing in the sevencounty Central Texas Council of Governments region of Bell, Coryell, Hamilton, Lampasas, Milam, Mills and San Saba.
Milam County Commissioner Dale Jaecks and H. Richard McGehee, director of the Area Agency on Aging of Central Texas, will facilitate the event.
All persons interested in issues impacting the elderly are encouraged to attend and voice their opinions regarding resolutions adopted by the TSHL.
Refreshments will be provided.
