Temple resident Helen Ruth Reavis, 81, died Oct. 5, 2008, at Weston Inn Health Center in Temple.

Graveside services are Oct. 10 at 11 a.m. at Tobey Cemetery at Oakalla with the Rev. Johnny Miller, pastor of Oak Park United Methodist Church of Temple, officiating.

Mrs. Reavis was born Sept. 13, 1927, in San Gabriel, the daughter of Martin B. and Ella Maresh Fojt.

She married Curtis H. Reavis on Aug. 26, 1950, in Killeen, and he preceded her in death on April 29, 2000.

Mrs. Reavis worked for Civil Service and was a member of Oak Park United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, David Reavis of Benbrook, and James Reavis and wife, Sonia, of Florissant, Colo.; four sisters, Esther Cunningham of Grand Prairie, Jane Anderson of Seattle, Wash., Mary Wright-Lambeth of Granbury and Ella Frankie Morgan of Fairfax, Va.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Stephen Lynn Reavis.

The family requested memorials be made to Tobey Cemetery Association in care of Bobby R. Reavis, 415 Orchard Dr., Killeen, TX 76542.
