Austin resident Blynda Lou Brooks, 58, died Oct. 4, 2008, in an Austin hospital.

Funeral services were Oct. 9 at Briggs-Gamel-Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Lampasas with burial at Hurst Ranch Cemetery in Goldthwaite.

Mrs. Brooks was born Dec. 20, 1949, in Bastrop, the daughter of Howard and Theo Holder.

She was married to Dennis Brooks.

Mrs. Brooks enjoyed dancing and shopping.

Survivors include her husband of Austin; her mother and stepfather, Theo and Darryl Gray, of Buda; and a host of aunts and uncles.
