CTC October non-credit courses listed

The Continuing Education Department of Central Texas College continues registration for noncredit classes in October. Classes are offered for exercise, cooking, computer, homemaking and others.

Adobe Illustrator: Explore the basic tools and techniques of computer graphics program. Students will create a business logo and learn how to make and manipulate images. Class will meet Mondays and Wednesdays, Oct. 13 to Nov. 5, 6- 8 p.m. Cost is $84.

Excel 2003: This spreadsheet package will teach how to plan, design and build worksheets. Class covers worksheet cell functions such as labels, values, formulas, spreadsheet linkage and more. Class will meet Mondays and Wednesdays, Oct. 13 to Nov. 5, 6- 8 p.m. Cost is $74.

Floral Design II: Students will learn how to incorporate more advanced design principles into arrangements. Class will meet Tuesdays, Oct. 14- 28, 6- 8:30 p.m. Cost is $26.

Yoga: Connect the mind and body through strength and balance movements to increase flexibility and reduce stress. Class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, Oct. 7- 30, 5:45- 6:45 p.m. Cost is $26.

Core Strength and Conditioning: Develop the body uniformly while toning muscles and gaining flexibility. Class will meet Mondays and Wednesdays, Oct. 13 to Nov. 5, noon to 12:45 p.m. Cost is $26.

Western Horseback Riding: Students will learn the basic horse care, grooming, tacking up, trail riding and proper positioning for walking and jogging. Class will meet Saturdays, Oct. 18 to Nov. 22, 7:30- 8:30 a.m. Cost is $86.

Basic Algebra: Learn or refresh skills in fundamentals of algebra. Class will focus on arithmetic review, equations with unknowns, signed numbers, monomials, polynomials, formulas and problemsolving. Class meets Mondays, Oct. 9 to Nov. 6, 6:30- 8:30 p.m. Cost is $36.
