Church to crown royalty
Fall Festival events on tap
      St. Mary Catholic Church's annual Fall Festival is Saturday and Sunday at 701 N. Key Ave. Festivities include vendors, children's activities, washer and horseshoe pitching contests, a silent auction and raffle. On Sunday, food and games will be offered from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Lutheran church to host concert
      Two for Life team Jay and Jodi Marcum, a husband and wife musical duo from Nashville, will present a family concert on Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church. Marcum, a former Navy band saxophonist, and his wife, an accomplished vocalist and pianist, are World Vision Artist associates.

      The Continuing Education Department of Central Texas College continues registration for noncredit classes in October. Classes are offered for exercise, cooking, computer, homemaking and others. Adobe Illustrator: Explore the basic tools and techniques of computer graphics program. Students will create a business logo and learn how to make and manipulate images.

      The Friends of the Library will have a booth at the Herb & Art Fest Saturday at Perks Coffee Bar parking lot. There will be hardcover books for sale as well as herb and art books. The new library bookbags and mousepads also will be on sale, and membership will be available for Friends of the Library. A lifetime membership for Friends of the Library is $100.

      The Lampasas County Chamber of Commerce's Historic Fire House Biker Run Rally is Oct. 17- 19 behind the Country Inn at the intersection of U.S. Highways 190, 281 and 183. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Lampasas County fire departments and community centers.
