GOLF TOURNAMENTS

The 8th annual Moo-oonlight Madness Golf Tournament is scheduled for Oct. 18 at the Hancock Park Golf Course in Lampasas.

The tournament is hosted by the Colorado River CattleWomen, with proceeds to benefit the organization.

Cost for the event is $45, with a limit of 27 teams. Entry fees must be received by Oct. 15.

Dinner will be served at 7 p.m., with the nine-hole tournament to begin once the sun has set.

The 10th annual Republican Golf Tournament & Picnic Fund-Raiser will be held on Oct. 4 at Hancock Park Golf Course in Lampasas.

The event begins at 7 a.m. with a continental breakfast in the clubhouse with tee off following at 8 a.m.

At noon there will be a hamburger and hot dog lunch at the course's pavilion.

It will be a four-person scramble format, costing $50 per player. Fees include breakfast, lunch, free beverage cart during golf action, prizes and green fees.

A $10,000 prize will be offered for a hole-in-one on a designated hole.

There will also be a silent auction following lunch.

Deadline for registration is Monday, and the pool is limited to the first 18 teams or 72 players.
