The Lometa cross country teams had another successful outing during a meet in May last week.

Led by Lucas Kemp, Hector Ortiz, Dylan Straley and Edgar Castruita — who finished 11th through 14th respectively — the varsity boys' team took fourth place, while the varsity girls' squad finished fifth.

Maria Jaso was the first Lady Hornet to cross the finish line, coming in second overall.

The junior high boys' and girls' teams both finished in fifth place.

Esmeralda Jaso (6th) and Laci Moreno (8th) set the pace for the girls, while Justus Alaniz was the top finisher on the boys' side, earning 14th overall.
