The Central Texas College (CTC) Continuing Education Department announced its upcoming class schedule for October. Registration is under way for the following classes.

Sign Language: This course includes basic finger spelling, conversational phrases, basic grammar and courtesies for communicating in American Sign Language. Class will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, Oct. 2- 28, 6:30- 8:30 p.m. Cost is $41 plus $50 for the book, "A Basic Course in American Sign Language."

Watercolor: One does not need a painting background to enjoy painting in watercolor. The course will cover color theory, technique and perspective. Subject matter includes clouds, trees and basic landscapes. Class will meet Mondays, Oct. 6 to Nov. 10, 6:30- 9 p.m. Cost is $37.

Home Decorating Made Simple: Learn how to arrange a room that is attractive and functional. Topics include color schemes, fabric selection, window dressings and home accessories. Class will meet Tuesdays, Oct. 7- 14, 6:30- 8:30 p.m. Cost is $19.

Scrapbooking (intermediate): Turn photographs into a beautiful scrapbook. Class covers distressing, paper-tearing, punches, embellishments and more. Class days are Tuesdays and Thursdays, Oct. 7- 16, 6:30- 8:30 p.m. Cost is $26.

Long-term Care Myths and Facts: Explore important facts, misconceptions and negative connotations commonly associated with the long-term care industry. Class will focus on the different types of facilities, selection guidelines and finance options. Class meets Oct. 7 from 6:30- 8:30 p.m. Cost is $14.

Yoga: Designed to connect the mind and body, this exercise class focuses on strength and balance movements, increasing flexibility and stress reduction. Class will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, Oct. 7- 30, 5:45- 6:45 p.m. Cost is $26.

Cumbia: Cumbia began as a courtship dance and has evolved into a more mainstream dance. The class will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, Oct. 7- 16, 7- 9 p.m. Cost is $31.
