Several candidates in the November General Election have said they will be at a public forum Thursday night sponsored by the Lampasas County Conservative Club and Lampasas Dispatch Record.

The event will begin at 7 p.m. at the Lampasas County Courthouse District Courtroom on the second floor.

Conservative Club official Harry Hendrix said Gail Lowe, the incumbent Republican District 14 State Board of Education member, will be on hand, as will her challenger, Democrat Edra Bogle.

In the Texas state representative District 54 race, Jimmie Don Aycock, the Republican incumbent, has confirmed he will be at the forum, said Hendrix.

For U.S. House of Representatives District 11, Mike Conaway, the incumbent Republican, will not be able to attend the forum, but his Libertarian opponent John Strom has said he will be there.

No response has come from candidates for Texas Senate District 24. Republican Troy Fraser is the incumbent.
