Badgers get blown out
Lampasas' defense works overtime as Hornets win 34-0 in final non-district game
      The open date in the Badgers' schedule could not have come at a better time for the team's defense. Lampasas' defensive unit was on the field for a majority of the game against Gatesville as the offense struggled to move the ball in the 34-0 road loss. By the time the final whistle sounded, the Hornets tallied 368 total yards of offense in 64 plays from scrimmage.

LHS tennis teams defeated in final non-district match
      It was deja vu all over again for the Lampasas varsity tennis teams. In Lampasas' first match of the year, Leander defeated the Badgers' squads 11-8. Last Saturday, Lampasas traveled to Leander and again fell 11-8, losing three of the final four matches which all went to three sets.

      Over half the month of September has passed and still no rain. Historical rainfall data shows September is the second-wettest month of the year after May. Unlike the rest of the state, portions of Central Texas are experiencing severe drought conditions.
