A $1,000 grand prize is being offered in a special poetry contest sponsored by Christian Poets Guild, free to everyone. There are 50 prizes totaling $5,000.

To enter, send one poem of 21 lines or less to Free Poetry Contest, 1638 Dogwood Lane, Acworth, GA, 30102 or enter online at www.freecontest.com. Entry deadline is Oct. 18.

Poems may be written on any subject, using any style.

Be sure entrant's name and address appear on the page with the poem. For a winner's list, enclose a stamped return envelope.
