The Space City T's, the Houston chapter of the Model T Ford Club of America, will hold its 31st annual Texas T-Party in Killeen Oct. 2-5, and will include a stop in Lampasas.

Each year, the club selects a different location that will host up to 100 original Model Ts from all over the U.S., and a couple from England.

Space City T's was founded in 1974 and held its first party in 1978, beginning as a one-day event. It is the largest annual Model T tour in the state.

This year, the group is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Model T. The tour schedule follows.

Oct. 2: Pictures will be taken at the Shilo Inn Suites in Killeen, followed by a drive to Lampasas with a break in Kempner.

Lunch will be at the Hancock Springs Hostess House, followed by a courthouse and museum tour and a school car show with an optional winery tour.

Oct. 3: The tour will head to The Grove to see Moody Anderson's collection, then onto Gatesville for lunch and a museum tour and car show.

Oct. 4: The tour will head to the Temple Railroad Museum and visit the Texas Early Days Tractor & Engine Show.

The show closes after breakfast on Oct. 5.

The tour provides an opportunity for visitors to appreciate the antique vehicles up close. Vehicle owners enjoy visiting, answering questions and sharing their stories.
