Church to sponsor training event
Church of the Hills will serve as one of 18 host sites in Texas for the Truth Project Simulcast Training Event on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. The church address is 14149 South U.S. Highway 183, Lometa.
The Truth Project, a new initiative of Focus on the Family, offers a systematic and comprehensive way to bring God's truth and a Christian worldview to the people of the community.
The training event will equip churches and their members to make a positive impact on culture by applying God's principles to daily life. Topics include understanding and living the Christian worldview, the nature and character of God, God's design for life (work, science, family, government, art, ethics and more) and marrying actions to core beliefs.
Church of the Hills invites area residents to learn how to lead this DVD-based, small-group Truth Project curriculum in your home and/or community.
Cost of the simulcast is $119 for an individual/ $149 per couple.
A special rate for full-time high school, college or graduate students to attend is $40.
Participants will receive the complete 12-lesson Truth Project curriculum on DVD and have access to the online learning support site that features lesson outlines, discussion forums, worldview articles and more.
