Hill Country Herb Society is preparing for the October Herb/Art Fest. The group met in July for a workshop on making clay plant markers, taught by Rowena Fengel.

Another workshop is Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the home of Angie Chester in Copperas Cove. The group will work on making wreaths using native material, and will finalize plans for the October event. Members are urged to attend.

Culinary herbs will be used in the club's sale of cakes, cookies, breads and other food items.
