I really resent the Texas Legislature taking $500 million that didn't belong to them and putting it in their General Fund. This money was donated by electric subscribers for the purpose of helping those who couldn't afford to pay their electric bills.

This money was not tax money and was donated into a public trust. Those in the Republican-led legislature had no right to steal this money for their own purposes.
