MIDDLE SCHOOL
Almost nothing went right for the middle school football teams on Tuesday.
The games scheduled to take place in Burnet were canceled due to bad weather, and the referees did not show up for the games taking place in Lampasas.
Luckily, high school athletic director Joey McQueen and a handful of the high school's football coaches stepped in and called the game.
The 7th grade A-team won its game 13-6, but there was no score available for the 7th grade Bteam's contest.
"I'm anxious to see our Ateamers against someone else," coach Jim Burks said.
The 8th grade B- and C-teams combined to play Burnet's B-team and the game ended in a 13-13 tie.
Next up for the Badgers' middle school football teams are road contests against Gatesville set for Thursday evening.
