Groundwater district to meet Wednesday
The Central Texas Groundwater Conservation District wil meet Wednesday in Goldthwaite to approve the Desired Future Conditions of the Trinity Aquifer. This includes 41 of the 45 counties in the GMA 8 boundary.
GMA8 has approved DFCs for the other eight major and minor aquifers within its boundary: Edwards BFZ, Blossom, Brazos River Alluvium, Ellenburger-San Saba, Hickory, Marble Falls, Nacatoch and Woodbine.
The DFC for these aquifers are available for review on the GMA8 Web site at www.gma8.org.
GMA8 encompasses 45 counties from Travis County in the south to the Texas/Oklahoma border in the north and includes Central Texas GDC, Burnet County; Clearwater UWCD, Bell County; Fox Crossing Water District, Mills County; McLennan County GCD, McLennan County; Middle Trinity GCD, Comanche and Erath counties; Northern Trinity GCD, Tarrant County; Post Oak Savannah GCD, Milam and Burleson counties; Saratoga UWCD, Lampasas County; and Tablerock GCD, Coryell County; Upper Trinity GCD, Hood, Montague, Parker & Wise counties.
