Barbara and Rodney Pease of 152 County Road 4963 at Kempner, were selected as recipients of the Yard of the Month honors by Browning Community Garden Club, represented by Carol Hoke, left, and Carol Huls, right. Browning Community Garden Club members met recently at the Kempner Brick Oven for a membership drive luncheon.

Sharron Van Weelden welcomed new members Shirley Overall, Pam Knutson, Martha Pearse and Gitta Kuhlmann.

Regular monthly meetings will resume Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Clear Creek Baptist Church. A carpool will head to Oma's Garten Pflanzen, 2301 Old FM 440 in Killeen. A program and tour of the nursery is planned.

A contribution was made to the Texas Garden Clubs' President Book in honor of Mrs. Van Weelden.
