The Central Texas College (CTC) Continuing Education Department continues registration for its fall classes. A variety of noncredit courses are available.

Life Insurance Basics: Discover different insurance products available including whole life, term, variable, universal and annuities. Learn how much and what type of insurance coverage is really needed. Class meets Tuesday, 6:30- 8:30. Cost is $14.

Floral Design I: Learn the basics of cutting and processing fresh flowers, making bows and creating basic floral arrangements. Class meets Tuesdays, Sept. 16- 30, 6- 8:30 p.m. Cost is $26.

Scrapbooking: Turn photographs and memories into a beautiful scrapbook. This beginning class teaches the basics such as cropping photos, page design and journaling. Class will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, Sept. 16- 25, 6:30- 8:30 p.m. Cost is $26.

Crocheting for Beginners: Crochet using worsted-weight yarn and create items to wear, decorate one's home or sell at bazaars. This course covers reading patterns and crochet using chain, single and double crochet stitches. Class will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, Sept. 16- 25, 6:30- 8:30 p.m. Cost is $26.

Organic Gardening: Learn how to grow nutritious food without the cost of expensive fertilizers and harmful pesticides. Topics include soil preparation, chemical vs. organic pesticides, mulching, planting, layout and more. Class will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, Sept. 16- 25, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Cost is $46.

Container Garden: This new class discusses the basic design and care of container gardens. Students will get hands-on experience working with live flowers. Class is Sept. 20, 9- 11 a.m. Cost is $11 plus $15 for supplies.

Car Maintenance Basics: Learn how to care for the interior and exterior of the car, check tire pressure and fluid levels. Class also includes tips on using the owner's manual and an overview of collision insurance and repairs. Class is Saturday, Sept. 20, 9- 11 a.m. Cost is $14.

CPR for Healthcare Providers: This American Heart Association course in basic life support is designed for healthcare providers such as physicians, nurses, EMTs and allied health personnel. It includes use of AED defibrillators. Class is Sept. 20, 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. Cost is $43.

Color Therapy Meditation: This fun, new class teaches one how to trust their intuition and determine which color the body needs for balancing. Class will meet Sept. 18, 6- 8 p.m. Cost is $34.

Webpage Design: This interactive class teaches students how to format text, incorporate graphics, generate links, build tables and offers a basic introduction to HTML for publishing one's own website. Class will meet Wednesdays, Sept. 17 to Oct. 8, 6:30- 9 p.m. Cost is $46.
