Lampasas barbecue cooker Milton Boone was a recent participant and winner in the annual World Championship Barbeque Goat Cook-off at Brady.

The 35th annual cookoff was held during scattered showers, but still drew more than 150 cooking teams from across the state.

Boone, who previously participated in the Brady event, took the best rig title with his converted tractor cooker.

He also had a top-10 entry -- finishing in eighth place -- out of the 150 teams.
