Virginia McBryde Virginia Dale McBryde of Brownwood died Aug. 24, 2008. She was 70.

Visitation is Sept. 13 from 2-4 p.m. at the Holiday House in Lampasas. Her body will be cremated.

Mrs. McBryde was born Jan. 15, 1938, in Oakalla, to Daily and Juanita Smith Kendrick.

She was a retired secretary for Kohler Corp. in Brownwood, where she had resided for the past 30 years. She was a member of the Episcopal church.

Survivors include sons, Thomas Jack (TJ) McBryde and wife, Sheila, of Arroya Grande, Calif., and John Robert (JR) McBryde of Lampasas; a daughter, Lynda Rae McBryde of Lampasas; two grandchildren, Kinsey McBryde of Arroya Grande, and Cole McBryde of Brownwood; a brother, Bill Kendrick and wife, Martha, of Conroe; and two nephews.

The family requested memorials be made to Oakalla Volunteer Fire Department or Oakalla Community Center.
